Monitoring Teacher Training on Mental Health and Psychosocial Support
Today, Wednesday, 26th March, 2025, I had the chance to observe a Trainer of Trainers workshop focused on Mental Health and Psychosocial Support for Teachers at the Accra STEM Academy. This followed my official opening of the session at Presbyterian Senior High School on behalf of the Director-General of the Ghana Education Service (GES).
I was accompanied by the Director of Human Resources, the Director of Guidance and Counselling, the Director of Schools and Instruction, and the Headmaster of Presbyterian Senior High School, along with other important stakeholders. This initiative is vital for equipping teachers with the skills they need to support students’ mental well-being, fostering a more inclusive and supportive learning environment.
