Monitoring the National CPD Day with the Greater Accra Regional Director of Education and Her HR Team

As part of activities marking National Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Day, which fell on Friday, 7th November, 2025, the Ghana Education Service (GES) joined educators, school leaders, and stakeholders nationwide to strengthen professional capacity, share innovative practices, and empower teachers to thrive in today’s digital learning environment.

In my capacity as the Ag. Deputy Director-General of the GES, I had the honour of engaging our dedicated teachers on the growing importance of cybersecurity and data protection in education. Safeguarding our students, schools, and national data remains a collective responsibility as we embrace technology to enhance teaching and learning.

Together with the Greater Accra Regional Director of Education and her HR team, I had the privilege of visiting Presbyterian Boys’ Secondary School (PRESEC–Legon) and Achimota Senior High School (SHS). It was truly inspiring to witness firsthand the positive impact of our capacity-building initiatives and the enthusiasm of teachers committed to continuous professional growth.

As we commemorate this important day, let us reaffirm our shared commitment to building a stronger, safer, and more connected education system for Ghana, one that equips both educators and learners for a secure, digitally empowered future.

Dr. Munawaru Issahaque, Ag. Deputy Director General for Quality and Access, GES
